That buzzing sound all-too-familiar to most residents of Discedo can be heard as a the video turns on, showing its owner. He's sleeping rather calmly without a shirt on and even snoring a little. His trusted companions are sleeping peacefully next to him.]

[But instead of waking up and realizing what's going on, he just swats at the communicator lazily.]

Mhhh... Raichu, cut it out... I'll feed you [yaaaawn] when I... wake up.....

[Raichu cracks an eye open.] Chuuuu~? [And also goes back to sleep.]

[For a trainer of Electric-type Pokemon, the weak shock hardly means anything. So he just ignores it. Not as planned, scientists. Not as planned.]

That is a pretty long time, especially for a Gym leader... There is so much you must have left behind.

Yeah... but none of it makes any sense. Three Gym Leaders from Johto were already here when I showed up, and I never heard anything about any of 'em disappearing.

That really is strange... If anything were to happen to a Gym leader anywhere, the League would inform us, I'm sure.

Other Gym leaders, Elite members and Champions alike. There may be several regions, but the League is essentially one and the same.

Oh...! So you are that Cynthia after all?

[Cynthia's a pretty common name, so he just assumed she was a random person from Sinnoh with the same name as the Champion. It's not like he gets many chances to actually visit Sinnoh or anything.

He just laughs it off.]

That's quite all right. I can imagine a shock is no proper way to get anyone to wake up, even if you do seem to be used to it.

Nah, it's no big deal. You can't train Electric types and not expect to get shocked once in a while!
