[It's been a while since Surge has made any broadcast. As a result, the communicator is none too happy. That buzzing sound all-too-familiar to most residents of Discedo can be heard as a the video turns on, showing its owner. He's sleeping rather calmly without a shirt on and even snoring a little. His trusted companions are sleeping peacefully next to him.]

ZZZZZAP--

[But instead of waking up and realizing what's going on, he just swats at the communicator lazily.]

Mhhh... Raichu, cut it out... I'll feed you [yaaaawn] when I... wake up.....

[Raichu cracks an eye open.] Chuuuu~? [And also goes back to sleep.]

[For a trainer of Electric-type Pokemon, the weak shock hardly means anything. So he just ignores it. Not as planned, scientists. Not as planned.]

Monsters? But they can't understand Pokemon at all... [And they're technically monsters, too, so.]

They don't understand anyone or anything. It seems all we can do is defend ourselves when they attack.

I see. I hope you've been managing that, even though your Pokemon can't use their electricity.

It's not easy, but not impossible either.

Do you have any idea why your Pokemon can't use their Electric-type attacks, though?

Yeah, I heard everybody gets some kinda computer chip placed somewhere under their skin when they arrive. It blocks all kinds of special attacks and powers.

[Good thing Garchomp is a physical sweeper. 83]

A computer chip on people and Pokemon alike? Why would they do that?

Maybe they don't want us overpowering them... not that I've ever even seen their faces or anything.

It would take nothing short of a deity to overpower them. They did bring us from a whole different dimension, after all.

For all we know, maybe they did bring other deities here from other dimensions.

But that would make them close to gods themselves.

Eh, I don't know much about that kinda stuff. Whatever they are, I don't like 'em.

I can relate. These scientists... It's like they want to be gods, and yet they have little regard for everyone's feelings.
